Iowa Speedway is poised to host a NASCAR Cup Series race in 2027 following a $20 million upgrade that blends track resurfacing with a suite of fan‑focused enhancements.
A new era for Iowa Speedway
The renovation, funded jointly by state grants and direct investment from NASCAR, will resurface the asphalt, modernize the midway display, expand walk‑through zones, upgrade gates, parking lots, luxury suites and the Newton Club, all aimed at elevating the spectator experience.
Eric Peterson, President of Iowa Speedway, outlined the plan during a Monday night meeting, emphasizing that the improvements are designed to attract larger crowds and deepen fan engagement.
NASCAR has already confirmed that the upcoming event is expected to sell out for the third consecutive year, and further details about the schedule and ticketing will be released on Thursday.
