The NASCAR Cup Series race scheduled for August 9th at Iowa Speedway has officially sold out, leaving no grandstand tickets or camping spots available for fans.
A limited number of tickets remain for the August 7th and 8th events, offering late‑comers a chance to experience the weekend’s action.
Eric Peterson, who assumed the role of President of Iowa Speedway in February 2024, expressed his appreciation for the local community, noting the indispensable help of volunteers and temporary workers that keep the venue running.
A Venue Built for Competition and Community
The 0.875‑mile oval, designed by NASCAR Hall of Fame driver Rusty Wallace and constructed between 2005 and 2006, was acquired by NASCAR in November 2013, a move that has since reshaped its programming strategy.
Under the new ownership, the track is set to host more than 160 public and private events throughout the year, ranging from racing series to concerts and driving schools.
