Coach T.J. Otzelberger has emphasized that the incoming transfers are expected to step in immediately, shouldering the responsibilities left by departing seniors and a junior sharpshooter.
Among the newcomers are transfers Tre Singleton and Taj Manning, both alumni of Power Conference programs, as well as Ryan Prather Jr., Leon Bond III, and Jaquan Johnson, who bring diverse skill sets from other collegiate circuits.
The coaching staff also welcomes three freshmen, while the team contends with injury concerns: Gray is recovering from a shoulder issue sustained in his senior year, and Christian Wiggins will be sidelined until next summer after an Achilles tear.
