Cael Wishman of Baxter HS added a shortened‑game no‑hitter, delivering seven innings of one hit, one walk and 13 strikeouts, a feat that highlights the depth of pitching talent this year.
Other notable contributors include Callan Koch of Sioux City East, who went 10‑for‑15 with two doubles, two triples, 13 RBIs and 11 runs, and Chris Fynaardt of Pella Christian, who collected five hits in nine at‑bats with three doubles, four RBIs and three runs.

The breadth of talent extends beyond individual games, as teams from towns such as Williamsburg, Knoxville and Emmetsburg are already staking claims in the early standings, promising a fiercely competitive race to the state tournaments.
