iRacing Studios revamps force feedback for NASCAR 26

iRacing Studios is tackling the force feedback shortcomings that plagued NASCAR 25 by rolling out a suite of tuning upgrades for the upcoming NASCAR 26 title. The developer has introduced a host of customizable parameters that can be matched to a wide variety of steering wheels and pedal rigs, aiming to deliver a more authentic feel across the board.

Mike Bergh, senior executive at iRacing, outlined the company’s commitment to deeper code-level adjustments that will refine the way force feedback is calculated and delivered. According to Bergh, these changes go beyond superficial tweaks, targeting the underlying physics engine to reduce jitter and improve responsiveness.

A default force feedback preset has already been identified that satisfies the majority of users, offering a balanced experience without the need for manual configuration. Nevertheless, the studio plans to provide additional sliders and options that let players fine‑tune the settings to match their specific hardware profiles.

The Standard Edition of NASCAR 26 is slated for release on September 18, while Gold Edition owners will enjoy an exclusive 72‑hour head start beginning September 15. This staggered rollout is intended to reward early adopters while ensuring a polished launch for the broader audience.

Industry observers expect iRacing to reveal further details on the game’s performance optimizations and community features in the weeks leading up to the September launch, building anticipation among sim racing fans worldwide.
