Rutgers Football has secured a verbal commitment from Isaiah Alvarez, a 2027 wide receiver out of Don Bosco Prep in New Jersey. The 5‑foot‑11.5, 165‑pound prospect chose the Scarlet Knights over offers from Colorado, Michigan State, Nebraska and Penn State, ranking as the No. 652 overall recruit nationally and the No. 88 wide receiver in the 2027 class.
Alvarez’s junior season showcased a blend of speed and reliability, as he amassed 702 receiving yards and six touchdowns while averaging over 18 yards per catch. He also contributed more than 300 yards as a returner, highlighted by three special‑teams touchdowns.

The recruit’s decision followed a campus visit in April, during which he expressed enthusiasm for the program’s direction.
