The 2027 recruiting cycle is heating up, and few names generate as much buzz as Isaiah Hill.
At Pike High School in Indianapolis, the four-star center posted 12.3 points, 9.7 rebounds and 4.3 blocks last season, shooting 67% from the field and 38% from three-point range, while as a sophomore he averaged 10.3 points, 7.3 rebounds and 3.4 blocks.
A Recruiting Battle
Analysts have begun to map out the competition, with On3’s Jamie Shaw assigning a 90% likelihood that Hill will choose Purdue, citing the player’s strong rapport with coach Matt Painter.
Hill’s official visits have included West Lafayette, as well as stops at Illinois and Louisville, and he has repeatedly praised the Boilermakers’ culture and coaching staff.
Other programs such as Indiana, Syracuse, Oregon and Notre Dame also hold offers, ensuring that Purdue will face a crowded field when the recruit finally signs.
Should Hill commit, the addition would bolster Purdue’s frontcourt depth and underscore the program’s ability to attract top-tier big men.
