Prospects Gear Up for Intra-Team Test
The New York Islanders will host their annual Blue-and-White Scrimmage on Wednesday night at the Northwell Health Ice Center, offering fans a first look at the team’s emerging talent.
The intra-team game is designed to give coaching staff a chance to evaluate depth, experiment with pairings, and fine-tune strategies before the regular season begins.
Projected Lineups Take Shape
Team Blue will be led by a forward group that includes Tomas Poletin, Danny Nelson, Victor Eklund, Gleb Veremyev, Luca Romano, Tanner Adams, Gabriel Frasca, Benjamin Brunelle and Layne Gallacher, while the defense will be manned by Jesse Pulkkinen, Isaiah George, Dennis Good Bogg, Malte Gustafsson, Michael Hagens, Ryan Healey and Tomas Machu, with Sam Hillebrandt and Burke Hood slated to tend the net.
Opposing them, the White roster will field forwards such as Jesse Nurmi, Kamil Bednarik, Bobby Cowan, Cole Eiserman, Cam Berg, Jacob Kvasnicka, Justin Kerr, Artyom Matyuk, Daniil Prokhorov and Ryan Franks, a blue-line composed of Kashawn Aitcheson, Sam Laurila, Zach Schulz, Lincoln Kuehne, Henry Nelson, Xavier Veilleux and Calle Odelius, and will rely on Daniel Hauser and Josh Kotai in goal.
Between the pipes, the scrimmage will see Sam Hillebrandt and Burke Hood for the Blue side, while Daniel Hauser and Josh Kotai guard the White net, adding an extra layer of competition for the prospects.
