Indiana University announced that IU Credit Union will serve as the presenting and title sponsor of the Hoosiers men’s soccer program beginning with the 2026‑27 athletic season. The agreement places the credit union’s branding on the exterior of Jerry Yeagley Field at Bill Armstrong Stadium and designates it as the exclusive partner of the Hoosier Army fan section, marking a visible new chapter for the team.
The partnership builds on a legacy of support that dates back decades, underscoring IU Credit Union’s commitment to the university’s athletic department. IU Sports Properties, the multimedia arm of IU Athletics, negotiated the deal, reinforcing a relationship that has long benefited student‑athletes and the broader Bloomington community.
A Boost for the Hoosier Army
Under the terms of the agreement, IU Credit Union will exclusively sponsor the Hoosier Army, the student‑driven cheering section that has become a staple of game‑day culture. The partnership is expected to bring additional resources for fan activities, merchandise and community outreach, further cementing the section’s role in campus life.
The first public showcase of the new branding will occur on August 10, 2026, when the Hoosiers host Bowling Green in an exhibition match at the stadium. University officials say the collaboration is intended to enrich the student‑athlete experience and elevate the atmosphere for supporters.
University leaders highlighted the strategic timing of the sponsorship as the program approaches a milestone season. Athletic director Scott Dolson emphasized that the partnership reflects the university’s ambition to provide top‑tier experiences for its teams, while Bryan Price, senior associate athletic director, noted the alignment with long‑standing financial support from the credit union.
Todd Yeagley, who has guided the program for many years, expressed optimism that the enhanced visibility will inspire current players and future recruits. He pointed to the program’s storied past — eight national championships and 29 College Cup appearances — as a foundation upon which the new partnership can build.
