Prospect camps kick off
The first IUP Football Prospect Camp drew more than 150 high school student‑athletes and over 20 coaches to Miller Stadium, where they took part in drills and evaluated talent. During the session the university extended more than 15 scholarship offers, giving participants a tangible pathway to join the Crimson Hawks.
Building on that momentum, IUP has scheduled three additional prospect camps throughout June. The next session arrives on Sunday, June 7, followed by a final camp on Wednesday, June 17. Each camp is tailored for students entering grades nine through twelve and is led by IUP coaches alongside current student‑athletes.
Youth and passing camps expand opportunities
In addition to the prospect events, the university will run youth football camps from June 15 through June 17 for children in grades one through six. The program includes fundamental instruction, a lunch break and an optional swimming session, allowing younger players to experience a college‑level environment.
A dedicated Quarterback and Wide Receiver Passing Camp is set for July 14 at the same stadium. The one‑day clinic runs from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and is open to high school athletes in grades nine through twelve, focusing on route running, throwing mechanics and defensive back techniques.
Registration remains open for all upcoming camps, though space is limited. Participants can attend a single day for $60 or purchase a full three‑day package for $180, providing flexibility for families looking to maximize exposure during the recruiting cycle.
Beyond skill development, the camps serve as a platform for athletes to showcase their abilities in front of collegiate programs. The combination of hands‑on coaching, scholarship incentives and direct interaction with IUP staff makes the events a pivotal step for any student‑athlete aiming to advance to the next level.
