Iver Skorve, a senior defender for the Jacksonville University men’s soccer program, has been recognized on the 2026 Preseason All‑ASUN Team, a testament to his steady rise over the past four seasons.
When he first arrived in 2023, Skorve was deployed as a midfielder, but a series of tactical adjustments saw him transformed into a commanding presence at the heart of the back line, where his aerial ability and positional sense quickly made him indispensable.
During his junior campaign he started every one of the team’s final eight matches, contributing three goals from defensive positions — including decisive strikes in wins over Stetson, Florida Gulf Coast and Bellarmine that propelled Jacksonville to the ASUN Championship semifinals for the first time since 2021.
His ability to read the game and deliver in critical moments has turned him into a veteran leader for a squad that is now looking to build on that momentum as it heads into the 2026 season.
A New Chapter Begins
Entering his senior year, Skorve will serve as the primary point of reference for younger teammates, offering guidance both on and off the pitch. The Dolphins open their schedule on August 20 with a home clash against Houston Christian, kicking off at 8:30 p.m. ET, a match that will set the tone for what the coaching staff hopes will be a breakout year.
