The 2027 recruiting cycle is already generating buzz as top prospects announce their intentions, and few names have attracted as much attention as J.J. Brown.
Brown trims his list
Brown, a four‑star offensive lineman from Georgia, announced that he has narrowed his options to six programs: Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia and Kentucky. He will take official visits to each school in the coming weeks, with a stop in Auburn scheduled for June 12.
Auburn’s 2027 class currently sits at No. 39 in the national rankings and already includes a quarterback commit in Gary Chatman Jr. The addition of Brown would not only lift the Tigers’ position but also reinforce their offensive line pipeline.
Visits on the horizon
In addition to his June 12 trip to Auburn, Brown is set to visit Clemson on May 29, Georgia on June 5 and Kentucky on June 19. Each visit offers the coaching staff a chance to make a final impression before the recruit finalizes his decision later in the year.
What Brown's decision could mean
Analysts say that landing Brown would be a significant boost for Auburn’s recruiting momentum, especially as the program looks to climb higher in the composite rankings. His rating as the No. 32 offensive tackle in the class and his status as the No. 35 player in Georgia underscore the value of his commitment.
