A Season to Remember
Jace Holley, a former Rocky Mountain standout, was voted the top women's college athlete from the Fort Collins area for the 2025-26 school year, a testament to a season that blended individual brilliance with team success. Playing as a forward for the University of Colorado, she helped the Buffaloes set a new program record with 17 victories and secure a spot in the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2013.
Holley’s impact was evident in the statistics: she netted 12 goals and added six assists, accumulating 30 points that placed her fifth all‑time in a single season for CU women’s soccer. Two of those points came as game‑winning goals, underscoring her knack for delivering when it mattered most.
The award reflects not only her collegiate achievements but also her high school pedigree. Before arriving in Boulder, Holley earned three first‑team all‑conference honors and two CHSAA Class 5A first‑team all‑state selections as a dominant attacking midfielder. Her high school career featured 54 goals and 21 assists, guiding her team to two 5A quarterfinal appearances.
Fan voting played a significant role in the honor, with Holley capturing 37.9% of the ballots, edging out nine other nominees. The recognition also placed her among a select group of nominees that included Jocelyn Kramar, Olivia Reed Thyne, Tatum Berg, Tatum Aragon, Delaney Ewing, Sydney Ovesen, Olivia Schramm, Macy Kleve and Molli Magaña, each of whom contributed notable performances across the region.
