Jack Leggett, the longtime Clemson baseball skipper, has been selected for induction into the university’s prestigious Ring of Honor, a distinction that stands as the highest accolade bestowed by the Tiger athletic department.
A Career Defined by Excellence
Over a 22‑year tenure from 1994 to 2015, Leggett guided the Tigers to the NCAA Tournament on 21 occasions, capturing six College World Series berths and three Final Four finishes. His stewardship also earned him a place in the American Baseball Coaches Association National Hall of Fame in 2014 and a spot in the Clemson Athletic Hall of Fame in 2020.
Leggett’s upcoming honor will be celebrated during a Clemson football home game this fall, with a formal induction ceremony slated for the spring of 2027. He will be the sole inductee from the 2026‑27 academic year, joining an exclusive group of former coaches recognized by the university.
The recognition underscores Leggett’s lasting impact on Clemson baseball and reflects a legacy that extends beyond the diamond, influencing generations of players and coaches who have passed through the program.
