Jackson Dzwik, the all‑time leading scorer in St. Philip High School history, has officially committed to the men’s basketball program at Roosevelt University in Chicago.
Family Ties Shape College Choices
The 6‑foot‑5 guard concluded his high school career with averages of 23.3 points, 4.7 assists and 3.1 steals per game, while shooting 31 percent from beyond the arc.
Although the recruitment process unfolded late, Dzwik said the university’s Division II profile and its location in the city made it the right fit, especially as he prepares to follow his brother Carter’s baseball path at Aquinas College and his sister Brooke’s recent volleyball tenure at Michigan Tech.
Roosevelt University, a member of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, will provide Dzwik with a platform to continue his development against competitive opponents while remaining close to his family’s new athletic hub.
The commitment underscores a growing trend of local talent staying within the Midwest pipeline, and Dzwik’s arrival adds another layer of excitement to the program’s upcoming season.
