Jackson Jutting, a former Bemidji State University hockey standout, made a splash at the recent Galen Nagle Memorial Golf Tournament, where he joined alumni in a charity event that underscored his ties to the local community.
The tournament served as a prelude to a breakout season in the ECHL, where Jutting led all first‑year players with 30 goals and added 11 game‑winning strikes, earning a spot on the league’s All‑Rookie Team.
His 59 points in 66 regular‑season games helped the Kansas City Mavericks secure a berth in the 2026 Kelly Cup Finals, where they fell to Florida in a six‑game series. Jutting contributed eight goals and 16 points over 17 playoff appearances.
Although he appeared in only four games for the Grand Rapids Griffins of the AHL, the experience proved formative as he transitioned to a professional schedule.
A Transatlantic Move
Now, the 24‑year‑old forward has signed a contract to join MoDo Hockey in Sweden’s HockeyAllsvenskan, a move he described as the start of an exciting new chapter in his career.
Jutting’s journey from Minnesota’s Bemidji to the ice‑rinks of Florida and now Örnsköldsvik reflects a rapid ascent that has drawn attention across North America and Europe.
