Jaclyn Henry’s Comeback: From Torn ACL to Jackson College Soccer

The Jonesville multi‑sport star navigates injury, scholarships, and a future in pediatric nursing

Jaclyn Henry arrived at Jackson College with a résumé that spanned volleyball, basketball and soccer, earning all‑area honors and coaches’ awards in each sport at Jonesville High.

A torn ACL in her senior basketball campaign cut short her high school soccer season, leaving her without the chance to play varsity soccer before graduation.

College recruiters initially balked at the injury, but Jackson College’s soccer coach remained steadfast, offering her a spot on the roster despite the setback.

A New Direction

With the injury behind her, Henry shifted her focus from a volleyball scholarship to a soccer pathway, joining the Jets and embracing the chance to rebuild her athletic career.

Off the field, she plans to study nursing and ultimately become a pediatrician, a goal that reflects both personal ambition and a desire to give back to the community that supported her.

Under the guidance of coaches Andy Hosmer and Mia Walker‑Quintana, the Jets finished the 2025 season with an 8‑9 record, a milestone that underscores the program’s growth.

The roster also includes former Comet Karly Page, now a member of the Jets women’s soccer team, adding depth to a squad that continues to build on its recent progress.
