Jacoby Dutchover, a senior at Midland High, capped a remarkable high school baseball career that helped his team finish the season with a 30‑7 record and a spot in the regional semifinals.
On the mound he posted a 9‑2 record, a 0.62 earned run average and 117 strikeouts, while also delivering a no‑hitter with 13 strikeouts during the Round Rock Tournament.
At the plate he batted .449, smashing five home runs and adding nine doubles, seven triples and 43 runs batted in, highlighted by a three‑home‑run, nine‑RBI outburst against Round Rock Stony Point.
A season of milestones
His performances earned him the 2026 Reporter‑Telegram High School Baseball MVP and District 2‑6A Player of the Year, as well as multiple All‑Star and All‑State selections.
Dutchover also logged a 1.91 ERA and .365 average as a freshman, improved to a school‑record 0.51 ERA as a sophomore, and posted a 2.24 ERA and .385 average as a junior before reopening his recruitment after a coaching change at Houston.
He credits his success to teamwork and the support of teammates such as Joshua Hulin, Lincoln Reinke, Will Davis and coach Todd Whitting, who all contributed to the Bulldogs’ historic campaign.
