A Versatile Guard Finds Her Home
Jacy Sheldon, a guard for the Chicago Sky, has become known across the league for her relentless positivity and her ability to slide into any role the team needs.
After a series of injuries limited the Sky’s backcourt depth, Sheldon has started every game this season, helping the club to a 3‑4 record. In the victories she has posted double‑digit scoring while shooting above .429, and she leans on her defensive instincts when her offensive rhythm falters.
She credits her adaptability to the support of teammates such as Tyler Marsh, DiJonai Carrington, Courtney Vandersloot and Gabriela Jaquez, who have helped her navigate the shifting lineup.
Drafted by the Dallas Wings in 2024, Sheldon has since experienced multiple trades, each of which she embraces as a fresh opportunity. She now notes that Chicago is the closest she has been to her family in Dublin, Ohio, during her WNBA career.
Her goal is to cement a long‑term spot with the Sky, sharpen her offensive playmaking and continue to be a defensive anchor. “Every move is a new chance to grow,” she says, expressing gratitude for the chance to compete in the WNBA.
