Texas Tech women's basketball has secured a verbal commitment from Jada Jackson, a 2027 four‑star forward out of Frenship High School.
Jackson is ranked No. 2 in Texas and 21st overall by 247 Sports, and she sits at No. 30 in ESPN's national recruit rankings.
During her junior year she posted averages of 17.8 points, 13.0 rebounds, 2.2 blocks, 2.1 steals and 2.5 assists, earning Super Team defensive player of the year honors from the Avalanche‑Journal and selections to the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches all‑state team and the Texas High School Coaches Association Super Elite squad.
A Fresh Face for the Lady Raiders
Her commitment follows the recent signing of freshman Ambrosia Cole, who will join the roster and add depth as the team looks to build on its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2013.
The Lady Raiders celebrated a historic win over Villanova, 57‑52, marking their first March Madness victory since 2005 before bowing out to LSU in the second round.
