Cody Busch took the mound for the Jamestown Eagles in the North Dakota Class AA Legion baseball state tournament and turned the game into a showcase of precision and power.
Over six innings he yielded only two hits, walked two batters and struck out seven, keeping the opposition scoreless while his defense turned grounders into quick outs.
Coach Chad Weber praised the outing, calling it dominant and noting the Eagles outhit Dickinson 10‑4, with Brenner Weber and Ethan Oettle each driving in two runs.
The next test will be a showdown against Fargo Post 2, the tournament’s top seed, a team that Busch warned hits the ball hard and will demand sharp pitching, solid defense and timely hitting.
Busch himself said the key will be executing the game plan, mixing a changeup early with a fastball later, and staying disciplined at the plate.
