The Jamestown Jimmies women’s soccer squad traveled to Rollie Greeno Field at Charlotte & Gordon Hansen Stadium for an exhibition matchup against Dakota Wesleyan in 2026, drawing a modest crowd eager to see the new-look team in action.
Emma Delys struck first for Dakota Wesleyan in the 19th minute, slipping a precise strike past the Jimmies’ keeper to put the visitors ahead early.
Six minutes into the second half, Kennedy Hansen responded for the Jimmies, leveling the contest with a well-placed shot that reignited the home side’s momentum.
The lead shifted again in the 86th minute when Peyton Sharp found the net, giving the Jimmies a slender advantage that seemed to edge them toward victory.
But the visitors were not done. Aliana Nolasco struck in the final minute, leveling the score at 2-2 and sealing a draw that left both coaches satisfied with the competitive rhythm.
What’s Next for the Jimmies
The exhibition served as a useful rehearsal ahead of the Jimmies’ first regular-season test, scheduled for August 30 when they host Roosevelt College in Arlington Heights, Illinois. The match will be played at the same venue that hosted the exhibition, offering a familiar backdrop for the team’s debut.
