Jared Grindlinger, a two‑way standout from Huntington Beach, was crowned the 2026 Mr. Baseball State Player of the Year, a distinction that underscores his exceptional performance during a breakthrough season.
Dominating on the mound and at the plate
He guided his squad to the CIF SoCal Division 1 regional championship while posting a 6‑0 record and a 0.85 ERA over 57 ⅓ innings, striking out 66 batters and consistently throwing fastballs in the 92‑95 mph range. At the plate he batted .376, collecting 41 hits, 10 doubles and 26 runs scored.
A Family Affair in Baseball
Grindlinger’s brothers, Bradley and Trent, have also made their mark on the diamond, continuing a family tradition that the athlete credits for much of his development.
