A Shared Vision for the Future
Gadsden State Community College has named Jason Presley as its new assistant coach for the women’s basketball program, tapping a veteran with more than 30 years of experience across multiple levels of high school competition.
Presley’s career includes stints at Gaston, Geraldine and Hokes Bluff high schools, where he guided teams to two Etowah County championships, two area titles and a regional crown. At Hokes Bluff Middle School he compiled a 59‑25 record over three seasons, and his varsity tenure at Hokes Bluff resulted in an area championship and back‑to‑back Etowah County runner‑up finishes.
The coach says his decision to return to the collegiate ranks was driven by a strong rapport with head coach Eddy Norris and the program’s ambitious roadmap. Presley’s philosophy centers on using basketball as a vehicle for character development, accountability and a cohesive team culture.
Norris expressed confidence that Presley’s meticulous attention to detail and emphasis on consistency will help the program capitalize on the talent already present on the roster. Together they aim to elevate the team’s performance while fostering a supportive environment for student‑athletes.
