Jay Justice, a familiar face in the Woodstock basketball community, has been appointed head coach of the girls varsity basketball team at Woodstock High School, succeeding Juel Mecklenburg who stepped down earlier this season.

Taking over the boys varsity position at Woodstock North is Dale Jandron, who paused his coaching career to care for his father during a period of kidney dialysis.
Jandron, known for his emphasis on teamwork and a competitive mindset, has expressed eagerness to bring that same drive to the girls program at North, where he hopes to restore momentum after a recent downturn.
Among the returning players, sophomore point guard Alex Nowacki is viewed as one of the most talented prospects in the Kishwaukee River Conference, adding optimism about the team’s potential.
