Jayla Blue, a senior at Bearden High School, has been honored as the Gatorade Tennessee Girls Soccer Player of the Year, a distinction that highlights her outstanding performance on the field and her dedication off it.
During the 2025 season she steered the Bearden team to a 20‑2‑1 record and captured the Class 3A TSSAA state championship, cementing the program’s recent rise in the sport.
A Season of Records
Her offensive output was equally impressive, as she netted 33 goals and contributed 17 assists, while her career tally now stands at 135 goals, the most in school history.
Beyond athletics, Blue maintained a 3.44 GPA and devoted time to community service projects, exemplifying the balance of academic excellence and civic responsibility.
The accolade adds to a series of honors, including four‑time All‑State selections and the 2025 United Soccer Coaches State Player of the Year award.
