A Strategic Addition for Yale
Jevon Estelle has joined the Yale women’s basketball staff as an assistant coach, a move announced by head coach Dalila Eshe that signals a fresh infusion of expertise into the program. Estelle, who brings more than a decade of player development experience, will work alongside the existing coaching crew to enhance recruiting, skill development and strategic planning.
His career trajectory reflects a blend of on‑court mentorship and entrepreneurial drive. Estelle founded GRO Athletic and Dream Team Academy, ventures that have grown from modest beginnings to generate consistent six‑figure annual revenue. The businesses specialize in training elite athletes and preparing them for the next level, a mission that aligns with his new role at Yale.
Before arriving in New Haven, Estelle honed his coaching chops as the head varsity coach of the girls’ basketball team at North Canyon High School in Scottsdale, Arizona. He also served as a trainer and sales and membership manager at Swysh Den, where he combined technical instruction with business development. His academic credentials include an MBA and a bachelor’s degree in business management from Grand Canyon University.
Estelle’s playing foundation was laid at Grand Canyon University, where he contributed to three appearances in the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament. A native of Winslow, Arizona, he remains connected to the state’s basketball culture, bringing a regional perspective that could prove valuable as Yale seeks to expand its recruiting footprint in the Southwest.
