Jocelyne Larocque, a native of Ste. Anne, Manitoba, has been selected for the University of Minnesota Duluth Athletics Hall of Fame, a testament to her enduring impact on the sport.
Trailblazing Achievements on the Ice
During her four‑year tenure with the Bulldogs from 2007 to 2011, she helped the program capture NCAA national championships in 2008 and 2010, finishing as the school’s all‑time leading scoring defenseman with 105 points in 127 games.
Her defensive prowess earned her the WCHA Defensive Player of the Year and the Outstanding Student‑Athlete award in 2010‑11, and she later represented Canada at four Olympic Winter Games, contributing to a silver medal performance in Milano Cortina.
Beyond college, Larocque captained the Ottawa Charge midway through the Premier Women’s Hockey League season and continues to be celebrated as one of the most decorated figures in Canadian women’s hockey.
The 2026 class also honors other distinguished athletes and contributors across a range of sports, underscoring the Hall of Fame’s commitment to recognizing excellence in every arena.
