Building an Agency on Trust
Founded in January 2016 alongside partner Bobby Gauthier, The OT Sports Group began as a modest venture and has since expanded to represent roughly 60 athletes worldwide, including rising stars such as Matt Coronato, James Hagens and veteran goaltender Brandon Bussi.
Osei‑Tutu’s client list also extends to members of the Professional Women’s Hockey Federation, and his early breakthrough came when his nephew, Ross Mitton, became the agency’s first client, a relationship that evolved from familial ties into a broader mentorship model.
The agent’s approach blends personal rapport with professional guidance; many players describe their association with him as a friendship rather than a mere business transaction, a dynamic that has attracted talent seeking both on‑ice development and off‑ice support.
His formative years were sparked by a childhood fascination with Disney’s ‘The Mighty Ducks’, leading him to coach at 18, pursue law school, and eventually transition into player representation, a path he now aims to extend into broader sports management.
The agency’s trajectory was further shaped by a nine‑year collaboration with Jay Grossman, whose mentorship provided critical insights before the trio launched The OT Sports Group, a partnership that endures in spirit even after Grossman’s passing. Today, the organization not only manages high‑profile contracts but also scouts emerging talent across continents, exemplified by a Slovakian goaltender selected in the 2025 NHL Draft by the Winnipeg Jets, underscoring the agency’s expanding global footprint.
