College Foundations
Toews began his collegiate career at the University of North Dakota, where he quickly emerged as a dominant force. In just two seasons he helped the Fighting Hawks capture back-to-back National Championships, earning the West Regional MVP in 2006 and amassing 85 points in 76 games.
Drafted third overall by the Blackhawks in the 2006 NHL Draft, Toews debuted in the league with a poise that belied his age.
