Jordan Bax has officially signed an American Hockey League contract with the San Jose Barracuda for the 2026‑27 season, the club announced on Monday as part of its preparations for the upcoming campaign.
The former Sarnia Sting forward spent his lone OHL season recording 15 goals, 16 assists and 31 points in 52 games, a performance that earned him a professional contract after a standout year in junior hockey.
Before joining the Sting, Bax honed his skills with the BCHL’s Cowichan Valley Capitals, where he tallied 41 points in 54 games during the 2024‑25 season.

Born in Parkhill, Ontario, Bax grew up playing minor hockey in his hometown before rising through the ranks to the OHL and then the BCHL, showcasing a blend of offensive skill and defensive responsibility.
The Barracuda, an AHL affiliate of the NHL’s San Jose Sharks, view Bax as a depth forward who can bring two‑way reliability and a knack for generating offense in the middle six, adding depth to a roster that aims to compete for a playoff spot.
