Jordan Oesterle, a defenseman born in Dearborn Heights, Michigan, concluded his professional hockey journey after twelve years across the league. The announcement came as he reflected on a path that took him from college rinks at Western Michigan to the bright lights of the NHL.
Oesterle first caught the attention of NHL franchises when he signed as an unrestricted free agent with the Detroit Red Wings in 2021. He spent two seasons in Detroit, logging 97 games and contributing 4 goals and 15 assists before moving on to the Edmonton Oilers, Chicago Blackhawks, Arizona Coyotes, Calgary Flames, Boston Bruins and Nashville Predators.
