The Idaho Steelheads announced this week that forward Jordan Steinmetz has agreed to a contract that will keep him in Boise through the 2026‑27 season, marking the third professional chapter of his career.
At 27, Steinmetz brings a blend of European experience and North American development, having spent the previous season with Snackpoint Eaters Limburg, where his 42 points helped the club capture the league championship.
During his inaugural year with the Steelheads, he recorded 15 points across 57 games, a solid contribution that earned him a renewed deal.
Prior to turning pro, Steinmetz completed five seasons of collegiate hockey, culminating in a senior year at St. Lawrence University where he captained the team and amassed 35 points in 122 appearances.
A standout season at Minnesota State University in 2023‑24 saw him add 11 points in 32 games while serving as an alternate captain, underscoring his versatility and leadership.
