The performance came amid a turbulent week for the No. 66 entry, as Garage 66 (MBM Motorsports) announced the withdrawal of its car from the upcoming New Hampshire race, leaving only chartered entries to fill the grid for the fourth time in just 25 events.
Team owner Carl Long has already penciled in at least four more outings for the No. 66, with the next slated for Darlington Raceway over Labor Day weekend, while Timmy Hill, who previously handled the car at Darlington in 2024 and March 2024, remains a potential candidate for future starts.
Chad Finchum currently holds the record for the most starts in the No. 66 this season, having logged six entries, but the roster of confirmed drivers remains unsettled for events such as the Southern 500 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
