A Fresh Focus on Skill Development
Josiah Harrington, a 6‑foot‑5 wing, has been a part of the Iowa State Cyclones program since committing in September 2024. The recruit missed the previous AAU season because of injury, but he has returned to the court with a clear focus on personal development.
During the current AAU schedule, Harrington is working intensively on his ball‑handling and shooting mechanics. He believes that sharpening those fundamentals will translate into more consistent performances when he eventually joins the Cyclones.
Harrington recently joined the Brad Beal Elite, a high‑profile circuit that brings together some of the nation’s most coveted prospects. On that team he shares the floor with players such as Jimmy McKinney and Devin Cleveland, giving him daily exposure to elite competition.
The Iowa State coaching staff, led by head coach T.J. Otzelberger, continues to monitor other potential recruits, including Davis Cochran, while maintaining a strong dialogue with Harrington about his progress.
Beyond immediate team goals, Harrington has set a personal target of becoming a three‑level scorer. He sees the upcoming season as a platform to demonstrate that he can create his own shot from anywhere on the court.
