Joyce Edwards Selected for USA Basketball 3X3 World Cup Squad

The South Carolina forward will join LSU’s MiLaysia Fulwiley, Mikaylah Williams and Oklahoma’s Sahara Williams in Warsaw

Joyce Edwards, a rising junior forward from South Carolina, has earned a spot on the USA Basketball 3X3 team that will compete at the 2026 FIBA 3X3 World Cup in Warsaw, Poland.

She will be joined by former Gamecocks star MiLaysia Fulwiley, LSU guard Mikaylah Williams and Oklahoma forward Sahara Williams, who together captured two victories at recent World Series stops in Chengdu, China, and Manila, Philippines.

At the Chengdu event, Edwards contributed as the second‑leading scorer, ranked third in rebounds and player‑value rating, while Mikaylah Williams topped the scoring charts and earned MVP honors.

The quartet’s recent successes follow a summer in which they helped the U.S. 3×3 Nations League squad to a 14‑2 record and a tournament title in Punta Arenas, Chile.

This marks the second straight summer that Edwards has represented Team USA in the 3X3 format, having previously medaled in three 5‑on‑5 competitions, including the 2023 U19 World Cup, the 2024 U18 AmeriCup and the 2025 AmeriCup.

World Cup Format and Schedule

The competition structure pits each pool’s top teams into a single‑elimination bracket, culminating in the championship game on the final day.

Round‑robin play begins on June 1, with Team USA placed in Pool B against Australia, Hungary, Mongolia and Spain. Knockout rounds start on June 5, leading to quarter‑finals on June 6 and medal games on June 7. All matches will be streamed live on YouTube.
