J’Shawan Unger Joins USA Baseball College National Team Ahead of Inaugural Championship

Nebraska’s left‑handed reliever J'Shawan Unger has earned a spot on the 2026 USA Baseball College National Team roster.

During the 2025 season he compiled a 6‑1 record, 13 saves and a 4.05 ERA across 40 innings, while striking out 39 batters and batting .203 in 25 appearances.

The national team will be finalized on July 5 after a training camp that will bring together the nation’s top collegiate pitchers.

Unger and his teammates will then travel to Taichung City, Taiwan, to compete in the inaugural World Collegiate Baseball Championship from July 11‑15.
