Judah Gumbs Commits to Arkansas Razorbacks, Bolstering 2027 Offensive Line

The Florida standout joins a growing class as the Razorbacks aim to fortify their front line.

Judah Gumbs, a 6‑foot‑6, 290‑pound right tackle from Armwood High School in Seffner, Florida, announced his commitment to the Arkansas Razorbacks on Wednesday, becoming the first player from the Sunshine State to join the program’s 2027 recruiting class.

Gumbs chose Arkansas over offers from Syracuse, Tulane and Mississippi State, among others, after a whirlwind recruitment that included an official visit to Fayetteville on June 5 and an offer extended on May 22.

Building a Dominant Front

Coach Ryan Silverfield has made strengthening the offensive line a top priority after the team surrendered 29 sacks in the previous season, a statistic that underscored the need for added size and experience up front.

At 6‑6 and 290 pounds, Gumbs brings a blend of length and power that aligns with Silverfield’s vision of a physically imposing line, a trait he honed while helping his high school squad to a 13‑1 record in 2025.

Ranked No. 119 among athletes in Florida and No. 90 at his position nationally by the 247Sports Composite, Gumbs also drew interest from 21 programs, including Houston, Kansas and Wake Forest, before narrowing his focus to the Razorbacks.

His decision reflects not only the appeal of Arkansas’s coaching staff but also the program’s upward trajectory, as the team looks to translate its recruiting momentum into on‑field success.
