Jurnee President has accepted a new role as an assistant coach for the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley women's basketball team, bringing a blend of playing pedigree and coaching acumen to the program.
Jurnee President's basketball journey began at New Mexico Junior College, continued at St. Bonaventure and Tarleton State, and included professional stints in Serbia and Armenia, shaping a versatile skill set that she now hopes to pass on to the next generation of Vaqueros.
A Strategic Addition to the Coaching Staff
Head coach Lane Lord highlighted Jurnee President's deep understanding of the program and her proven ability to contribute to a historic 21‑win season that set new program records, stating that her experience will be invaluable as the team builds on its recent success.
In her new position, Jurnee President will focus on player development, film analysis, scouting, recruiting, game preparation and mentorship, leveraging the lessons learned from last season's breakthrough performance.
