Justice Smith, a freshman at Caesar Rodney High School, has been crowned the 2026 Prep Baseball Delaware All-State Newcomer of the Year, a testament to his immediate impact on the diamond.
Batting Brilliance
At the plate he posted a .352 batting average, reached base at a .489 clip and slugged .926, tallying 25 hits, 17 runs batted in and 17 stolen bases. Those numbers propelled him to the top spot in the MD/DE Class of 2029 rankings.
Pitching Prowess
On the mound he posted a 0.42 ERA with 17 strikeouts over more than 16 innings, while his fastball regularly hit 89 mph and he showed a feel for both a slider and a changeup.
