Central Community College has appointed Justin Humphries as the inaugural head coach of its new women’s flag football team, marking the program’s first step toward competitive play at the Hastings Campus.
Humphries brings a deep reservoir of coaching experience, having served as an assistant and head coach at Southern Nazarene University and as head football coach at St. Anthony Catholic High School, where he guided teams to historic playoff runs.
Mary Young, CCC Athletics Director, highlighted Humphries’s leadership and vision, stating that his appointment provides a strong foundation for the Raiders program and expands opportunities for student‑athletes.
Coaching Background and Academic Credentials
A graduate of the University of the Incarnate Word with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology, Humphries holds multiple coaching certifications and previously balanced his roles as athletic director and head coach in Texas, steering programs to notable postseason achievements.
