K-State Baseball Unveils 2027 Big 12 Schedule

Wildcats brace for a challenging road slate and a marquee Sunflower Showdown

Kansas State University’s baseball program has released its 2027 Big 12 Conference schedule, a 15‑game slate that will see the Wildcats host the majority of their league contests at Tointon Family Stadium in Manhattan, Kansas. The announcement comes as the team looks to build on a 30‑win 2026 season and extend its streak of consecutive 30‑win campaigns.

A demanding road circuit

The season opens on the road with a three‑game series at Oklahoma State beginning March 19, followed by a home series against BYU from March 25 through 27. After a brief home stretch, the Wildcats travel to UCF for a April 9‑11 matchup before returning to Manhattan for back‑to‑back series versus TCU, Utah and Arizona.

The road portion continues with series at Cincinnati (May 7‑9) and Baylor (May 20‑22), culminating in the Dillons Sunflower Showdown in Lawrence from May 14‑16, where the Wildcats will face Kansas in a highly anticipated three‑game set.

Highlight games and postseason prospects

The 2027 Big 12 Championships are scheduled for May 25‑29 in Surprise, Arizona, providing the Wildcats with a final opportunity to showcase their progress before the season’s end. Throughout the schedule, Kansas State will meet five opponents from the 2026 NCAA Division I Baseball Championships, including Oklahoma State, Arizona State, UCF, Cincinnati and Kansas.

Six letterwinners return for the 2027 campaign, among them pitchers Adam Arther and Donte Lewis, outfielders Robby Bolin, Nick English and Cadyn Karl, and Cape Cod Baseball League MVP Ty Smolinski. Head coach Pete Hughes emphasized that the rugged road schedule is intended to accelerate the program’s rise to national relevance.

With a blend of experienced veterans and promising newcomers, the Wildcats aim to translate the challenging slate into a competitive edge, positioning themselves for a strong finish and a deep run in the conference tournament.
