Former Marquette staffer joins Siena under new head coach Nevada Smith

Kaden LeCapitaine has stepped into the role of Director of Basketball Operations for the Siena Saints men’s basketball program, a move announced alongside the hiring of Nevada Smith as head coach.

LeCapitaine’s career has been built on the intersection of data and player development, most recently at the University of Wisconsin‑Green Bay where he directed video analysis and oversaw basketball operations.

A 2024 graduate of Marquette University with a B.S. in Business Administration, he also led the student‑manager program for the Golden Eagles, supervising a team of full‑time student managers while contributing to recruiting and scouting efforts.

His experience at Marquette and Wisconsin‑Green Bay equips him with a strong foundation in analytics, recruitment coordination and staff management, qualities that align with Siena’s ambition to enhance its basketball tradition through a modern, data‑driven approach.

A fresh direction for Siena basketball

Under Nevada Smith’s leadership, the program is integrating new administrative talent to support its athletic goals. The Siena staff also includes assistant coaches Matt Blue, Shaun Morris and Lawrence Rowley, as well as special assistant Brian Beaury, forming a diverse coaching cadre.

LeCapitaine’s appointment underscores Siena’s commitment to blending experienced basketball minds with innovative operational strategies, positioning the program for continued growth within its storied legacy.
