Kailyn Strawbridge Joins High Point Women’s Basketball Staff as Player Development Coach

Former Missouri Southern Assistant Brings Proven Track Record in Player Growth and Recruiting

High Point University announced this week that Kailyn Strawbridge has accepted a new role as an assistant coach for the Panthers' women's basketball program, with a specific focus on player development.

A Proven Track Record in Player Development

Strawbridge arrives after a three‑year stint at Missouri Southern State University, where she helped shape the development of 2023‑24 MIAA Freshman of the Year Ryan Franklin and contributed to a roster that earned three All‑MIAA honors.

Her coaching journey also includes formative years at Principia High School near St. Louis, where she helped guide the team to its first double‑digit win season in five years, and a tenure at Webster Groves High School that culminated in a 2022 State Final Four appearance.

Prior to her collegiate work, Strawbridge coordinated athletic leagues and community outreach in Dallas, Texas, while consulting for the JR NBA, an experience that sharpened her ability to connect with diverse player populations.

At High Point, she will oversee the growth of current roster athletes, design individualized development plans, and continue to nurture relationships that have defined her career, a mission she says aligns with the university's ambition to compete at the highest level of collegiate basketball.

University Athletic Director Wyatt Foust praised the hire, noting Strawbridge's blend of on‑court expertise and community engagement, and expressed confidence that her arrival will accelerate the program's upward trajectory.
