A New Era of Rebels Coverage
Kam Wicker has officially joined Rebels247 as the outlet’s new football recruiting writer, bringing a fresh perspective to the site’s coverage of the University of Mississippi’s athletic landscape.
His career spans years of reporting on Ole Miss athletics and high‑school sports across Baldwin County, Alabama, where he chronicled prospects from the Gulf Coast to the state’s private institutions.
A 2025 graduate of the University of Mississippi, Wicker previously served as a sports editor for Gulf Coast Media in Gulf Shores, overseeing coverage that included the Senior Bowl and NCAA Beach Volleyball National Championships.
Starting this fall, he will debut a weekly recruiting podcast on MPW Digital, a production sponsored by A‑1 Discount Lawn and Tree Service, aiming to foster direct dialogue with the Rebels247 community.
Wicker’s focus will be on dissecting recruiting pipelines, evaluating coaching strategies and assessing how the transfer portal reshapes roster construction for the Rebels.
