Kansas City Women’s Basketball Announces Summer Camp Series at Swinney Center

Head Coach Candi Whitaker Leads Four Youth and Elite Camps

Kansas City Women’s Basketball, under the direction of head coach Candi Whitaker, is set to energize the summer with a series of four basketball camps at the Swinney Center.

Summer Camp Schedule

The schedule kicks off with the Lil’ Roos Basketball Camp, a beginner‑friendly program for the youngest players, followed by a Fundamentals Day Camp aimed at third‑ through fifth‑graders. A Middle School Skills Camp will cater to sixth‑ through eighth‑graders, while the Women’s Basketball Elite Camp offers high‑school athletes an intensive, position‑specific experience.

All three July camps run from 9 a.m. to noon, providing participants with an official camp T‑shirt, daily instruction, skill stations, competitive games and a final awards ceremony. The Elite Camp, scheduled for August 2, extends from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., costs $40, and includes a Q&A session and a brief campus tour.

Family Celebration and Registration

Families are invited to attend the closing ceremony at 11:30 a.m. on July 31, celebrating the progress of the campers. Interested participants can register now to secure their spot and become part of the Roos community this summer.
