The Kansas high school baseball playoffs have officially begun, drawing teams from every corner of the state as they battle for the coveted state championship.
Games are being staged at two of the state's premier venues, Wichita State University's Eck Stadium and Kansas State University's Tointon Family Stadium, each hosting a slate of matchups across different classifications.
On Thursday, May 28, the Class 6A and Class 5A semifinals will take place at Eck Stadium, setting the stage for top‑ranked programs to vie for a spot in the championship round.
The same day, Class 4A semifinals will be held at Tointon Family Stadium, while the Class 3A semifinals kicked off a day earlier on Wednesday, May 27, also at the Kansas State venue.
Class 2‑1A semifinals followed the same Wednesday schedule at Tointon Family Stadium, giving the smaller schools an early chance to advance.
Friday, May 29, will bring the championship games for all classes, with third‑place contests scheduled for the same day except for the 2‑1A division, whose third‑place game is set for Thursday, May 28.
