Alcohol Returns to the Stadium Experience
Kansas State University announced that alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase at Bill Snyder Family Stadium beginning with the 2026 college football season. The move is part of a broader effort to modernize the gameday atmosphere and create new sources of revenue for the athletics department.
Fans will be able to choose from a curated selection that includes traditional beers, flavored seltzers, canned cocktails and a modest wine list. Each transaction will be limited to two drinks per person, and sales will stop at the conclusion of the third quarter to encourage responsible consumption.
Before a purchase can be completed, attendees must present a valid government‑issued ID confirming they are at least 21 years old. All alcohol bought inside the venue must remain on the premises, although ticket holders are free to leave and re‑enter the stadium as long as their ticket is scanned.
The university will retain existing alcohol policies in premium seating areas while extending the new framework to the broader fan base. Staff reserve the right to eject anyone whose behavior violates the policy, becomes unruly, or engages in illegal activity.
University officials say the initiative is driven by two primary objectives: enhancing the overall gameday experience for supporters and generating additional financial resources that can be reinvested in facilities and student‑athlete programs. By integrating alcohol sales into the stadium’s operations, Kansas State hopes to set a benchmark for responsible beverage service in collegiate sports venues.
