Fall Camp Overview
The Kansas State Wildcats have entered fall camp as they gear up for the 2026 season, with the first game slated for September 5 at Bill Snyder Family Stadium against Nicholls.
Coaches have emphasized competition across the roster, especially at positions that will determine the team's identity on both sides of the ball.
Position Battles to Watch
Along the offensive line, Delvin Morris and Dylan Villarouel are battling for the starting center role, while newcomers Charlie Adams, Keiton Jones and Chase Duarte vie for the right‑guard spot and Gus Hawkins, George Fitzpatrick and Oliver Miller fight for the right‑tackle position.
At quarterback, Blake Barnett and Dillon Duff are competing for the backup job, a contest that could shape the development path of potential 2027 starter Avery Johnson, who is expected to transfer into the program.
The receiving corps features a deep pool of candidates; Izaiah Williams and Brandon White are leading the race for a slot‑receiver role, while Derrick Salley Jr., Adonis Moise, Larry Porter IV and others contend for wider receiver spots.
Defensively, Zashon Rich and Kaleb Patterson are slated to start at cornerback, but Michael Graham and Ja'Son Prevard are also in the mix, while edge‑rusher duties will be contested by Elijah Hill and Jordan Allen, with Hill riding the momentum of a Conference USA sack title as a true freshman.
Linebacker positions will see Rex Van Wyhe, Gabe Powers and Darien Whitaker competing alongside veteran Mekhi Mason, and the defensive line will feature a battle among Austin Ramsey, De'Arieun Hicks, Adrian Bekibele and Kamari Burns for tackle spots.
