A Transfer That Signals Ambition
Karolina Skowronska, a native of Wroclaw, Poland, is set to join the Milwaukee women's tennis team as a graduate transfer, bringing a distinguished collegiate résumé that spans two continents.
After two seasons at Louisiana Lafayette, she spent the past year at Chicago State, where she captured Second‑Team Northeast Conference honors in both singles and doubles and was named NEC Player of the Week twice.
During the 2025‑26 campaign she posted a team‑best twelve singles victories while competing primarily from the No. 1 line, and she went a perfect four‑for‑four in conference matchups. In doubles, she compiled fourteen wins, including an 11‑8 record alongside partner Mackenzie King.
Her achievements mark several firsts: she became the first Cougar to earn NEC postseason recognition and helped the program secure its inaugural conference accolades in both singles and doubles.
Coach Mark Goldin expressed enthusiasm about the addition, noting that Skowronska's experience and competitive spirit will strengthen the Panthers' lineup as they aim for deeper runs in the upcoming season.
The move also underscores the growing international footprint of the Milwaukee program, which now welcomes a player who has navigated the collegiate landscapes of Poland, the United States, and the Northeast Conference.
